17th Headies Awards Set for April 5, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria

The 17th edition of The Headies Awards is scheduled for April 5, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. This announcement was made by Headies Executive Producer Mr. Ayo Animashun in a statement released on Monday, January 20. He noted that this year’s event will feature an exceptional lineup of activities, culminating in a week-long celebration of the industry’s growth and artistic ingenuity.

Preceding the main awards ceremony, activities will commence on March 29, 2025, with The Headies Stakeholders Brunch and the Nominees’ Party. These events are designed to honor and engage key figures in the Nigerian music industry.

The Headies, established in 2006, is Nigeria’s premier music awards show, recognizing outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by both established and emerging artists and is broadcast live on HipTV to viewers across Nigeria.

 

The upcoming 17th edition is expected to continue the tradition of celebrating excellence in Nigerian music, with a focus on the industry’s growth and artistic ingenuity.
