The Lagos State Government has sealed off Westbrook Mall in Lekki and arrested 24 individuals for violating a government order. This was confirmed by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on his X handle on April 3, 2025.

Wahab explained that the management of Westbrook Mall had breached the state government’s seal order twice.

In response, a joint enforcement exercise involving the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LSWMO) and the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) team was carried out at the mall earlier today.

Following the operation, 24 people were arrested and will be prosecuted. The mall’s premises were resealed, and the management has been directed to pay the required fines as stipulated by state laws.
