Following their last night meeting with President Bola Tinubu and the intervention of the Senate, the Nigeria Labour Congress has confirmed the suspension of its planned strike.

The NLC made the resolution during an emergency meeting of its National Executive Council.

Recall that the NLC and its sister union the Trade Union Congress held protest rallies yesterday across the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, to kick against the removal of fuel subsidy which has had its attendant consequences on the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians.

And following the protests yesterday, the NLC appreciated Nigerians for standing by them, as well aa the workers who trooped out en masse for the rallies.
