Phil Foden Wins PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has been recognized as the outstanding player of the season by his peers, winning the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

He edged out strong competition from teammates Erling Haaland and Rodri, as well as Cole Palmer, Martin Odegaard, and Ollie Watkins.

Foden’s remarkable season played a crucial role in Manchester City’s historic fourth consecutive Premier League title, with the midfielder contributing 19 goals and eight assists in the league.

His impressive form also helped City win the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, while reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the final of the FA Cup.

The award ceremony, held at the Manchester Opera House, saw Foden receive the honor in front of his peers.

This achievement marks a clean sweep of major individual awards for Foden, who has also won the Football Writers’ Association award and the Premier League Player of the Season award.

In other awards, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was named PFA Young Player of the Year, while Manchester City’s Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Tottenham’s Grace Clinton took home the Women’s Players’ Player of the Year and Women’s PFA Young Player of the Year awards, respectively.
