President Bola Tinubu to Visit China in September to Boost Economic Ties and Attract Investments

President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to visit China in early September to boost economic cooperation and attract investments to Nigeria. The trip aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore key economic opportunities.

During a briefing, Special Adviser Ajuri Ngelale highlighted the visit’s importance, stating that President Tinubu will:

– Visit major Chinese companies like Huawei and China Rail and Construction Corporation to accelerate the Lagos-Kano rail project’s completion

– Meet with CEOs of 10 top Chinese corporations, managing over $3 trillion in assets across various sectors

– Hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping to sign Memoranda of Understanding on:

– Green economy

– Agriculture

– Satellite technology

– Media enterprise development

– Blue economic initiatives

– National planning collaboration

The meeting will also discuss broader issues, including economic partnerships, security, and global challenges.
