The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the appointment of Aliyu Zubairu as the new Head Coach of the National U20 Boys team, Flying Eagles.

This decision follows a recommendation from the Technical and Development Sub-Committee.

Zubairu’s appointment takes effect immediately, and his primary objective is to assemble and prepare a team for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Championship in Togo, scheduled for October/November.

The tournament will determine the zone’s representative for the 2024 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

Zubairu’s coaching credentials include leading El-Kanemi Warriors to victory in the President Federation Cup in June, defeating Abia Warriors FC in Lagos.

His experience and expertise are expected to benefit the Flying Eagles as they prepare for regional and continental competitions.
