The song, which became a global sensation, charted in multiple countries including the US, UK, and France.

Fueled by the success of its remix featuring British superstar Ed Sheeran, ‘Peru’ gained international acclaim, charting in over 20 countries.

It peaked at No. 53 on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 2 on the UK Official Singles Chart, and climbed to No. 28 in France.

With over 450 million Spotify streams across both versions, ‘Peru’ has also received various certifications globally, including 2X platinum in the UK, a gold plaque in Denmark, and a platinum plaque from the RIAA.

Featured on Fireboy’s third album Playboy, ‘Peru’ propelled him to international fame, earning a BET nomination and a memorable performance at the 2022 edition of the awards.

The diamond certification in France places ‘Peru’ alongside other Nigerian hits like Oxlade’s ‘Kulosa’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, Burna Boy’s ‘On The Low’, and Rema’s ‘Calm Down’, all of which have also achieved SNEP diamond certification.
