The University of Ibadan has announced that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has approved loan applications for 3,283 students.

In an internal memo issued on Wednesday, the university’s Registrar, G.O. Salisu, confirmed the approval and instructed department heads to allow these students to sit for the 2023/2024 first-semester examinations.

Although the funds have not yet been received, the university has distributed the list of approved students to the respective departments.

This development provides financial relief to students struggling to secure funding for their education, demonstrating NELFUND’s commitment to supporting students in need.
