Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ondo State, has unveiled his vision to transform the state.

At a media parley in Lagos, Ajayi criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) government led by Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, citing its failure to prioritize citizens’ welfare and safety.

“The primary objective of governance is the safety and welfare of the people,” Ajayi emphasized. “Any deviation from this principle makes a government a liability.”

Ajayi attributed Ondo State’s current challenges to the lingering problems left behind by late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, which he believes have intensified under Ayedatiwa’s leadership.

The November 16 governorship election presents a critical opportunity for the people to shape the state’s future, Ajayi stressed.

Additionally, Ajayi expressed concerns over the disputed Edo governorship election results, labeling them undemocratic and contrary to the people’s choice. He called on electoral authorities to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
