Journalist Rufai Oseni Doubts Justice Will Be Served in Bobrisky Prison Saga

Journalist Rufai Oseni has expressed skepticism about the possibility of justice being served in the ongoing prison saga involving crossdresser Bobrisky.

This comes after allegations surfaced that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him.

Additionally, it’s been claimed that Bobrisky spent time in a VIP facility instead of prison after receiving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira.

The House of Representatives has stepped in, summoning the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukayode, the Nigerian Correctional Service Comptroller General, Haliru Nababa, Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan (the social critic who made the allegations public), and all officers involved in Bobrisky’s prosecution.

They’re required to appear today, September 30th, with all relevant officers.

Rufai Oseni took to X to share his thoughts, stating, “I will be surprised if justice is done in this prison saga.”

He referenced previous revelations about prison issues by Fisayo Soyombo that went unaddressed, highlighting his concerns that this case might suffer the same fate.

Oseni hopes it won’t end in social media posturing and defamation suits, emphasizing that vested interests hinder Nigeria’s willingness to tackle societal problems.

The situation raises important questions about the fairness and effectiveness of Nigeria’s justice system, particularly in cases involving high-profile individuals.
