Anthony Joshua Faces 28-Day Boxing Suspension After Devastating Loss to Daniel Dubois

Anthony Joshua has been issued a 28-day suspension from boxing following his knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.

The British Boxing Board of Control enforced this standard medical precaution after Joshua’s fourth professional loss.

Joshua was knocked down four times before being knocked out in the fifth round. Dubois retained his IBF heavyweight title with the impressive victory.

The suspension is a standard procedure for fighters who suffer knockout or technical knockout defeats.

The brief ban is unlikely to hinder Joshua’s plans, as he has yet to announce his next opponent. Joshua plans to continue boxing, with potential future fights against Dubois or Tyson Fury.

This setback marks Joshua’s fourth professional loss, sparking speculation about his retirement. However, Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, remain committed to continuing his boxing career.
