The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has suspended Samuel Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), from attending Cameroon national team matches for six months.

Eto’o’s suspension results from violating FIFA’s Disciplinary Code, specifically Articles 13 and 14, during Cameroon’s match against Brazil on September 11. He and the Cameroon delegation disputed a penalty decision.

The ban takes effect immediately and applies to all Cameroon matches, regardless of age category or gender. However, Eto’o retains his position as FECAFOOT president.

This is Eto’o’s second disciplinary action in 2024, following a $200,000 fine by the Confederation of African Football in July. He has also clashed with Cameroon’s sports ministry over the men’s national team coach appointment.

FIFA has notified the Cameroon Federation of the decision.
