Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, has apologized for his previous statement suggesting that failing to pay tithe might prevent Christians from entering heaven.

In a recent address, Adeboye retracted his earlier claim, labeling it a “mistake.” He emphasized that the Bible does not link tithing to salvation.

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see God,” Adeboye cited from Hebrews 12:14, highlighting peaceful and holy living as the true prerequisites for heaven.

“I apologize for saying, ‘If you don’t pay tithe, you might not make it to heaven.’ I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible,” Adeboye acknowledged.

Adeboye’s clarification has sparked meaningful discussions among Christians, underscoring the importance of accurate biblical interpretation.
