President Bola Tinubu’s Son Launches Healthcare Initiative for 10,000 Patients in 60 Hospitals

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has unveiled the Seyi Tinubu Maternal and Child Health Intervention. This initiative aims to provide essential medications to over 10,000 indigent patients across 60 tertiary health institutions in Nigeria.

Speaking at the commissioning of the drug bank at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Seyi Tinubu emphasized that access to healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. The drug bank represents a commitment to dignity, equality, and healthcare access.

The initiative’s objectives include:

– Providing essential medications to 10,000 indigent patients monthly

– Supporting 60 tertiary health institutions nationwide

– Reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in Nigeria

– Achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 in Nigeria by 2030

National Coordinator Dr. Ayodele Cole Benson noted that Seyi Tinubu chose UCH due to its outstanding work as a premier teaching hospital. The project aims to bridge the healthcare gap and support vulnerable populations.

This initiative demonstrates Seyi Tinubu’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes in Nigeria, ensuring that no one suffers due to lack of resources.
