Namibia Seeks Anti-Corruption Partnership with Nigeria

The Namibian government has approached Nigeria’s Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to explore training opportunities and share expertise in the fight against corruption.

Namibian Ambassador to Nigeria, Humphrey Geiseb, emphasized Nigeria’s leadership in combating corruption in Africa and the need for knowledge sharing.

He highlighted the success of ICPC and EFCC in recovering stolen assets, stressing that Namibia would benefit from Nigeria’s expertise.

ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, welcomed the partnership, noting that combating corruption requires collective effort.

He offered training opportunities through the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN) and reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to supporting Namibia’s anti-corruption efforts.

This partnership aims to strengthen regional cooperation in combating corruption and promoting economic development in Africa, through shared knowledge, expertise, and collaborative efforts.
