Davido’s Father, Dr. Deji Adeleke Reveals How he Contributes 15% into Nigeria’s Electricity

Dr. Deji Adeleke, father of award-winning singer Davido, has announced that his company, Pacific Energy, generates approximately 15% of Nigeria’s electricity. This revelation came during a recent conference, where he discussed his investments in the nation’s power sector.

Dr. Adeleke’s thermal power plant, slated for completion in January 2025, will become Nigeria’s largest, boasting a capacity of 1,250 megawatts. Chinese engineering companies are collaborating on the project.

“In Nigeria, I’m in the electricity business. I own power plants and currently generate about 15% of the country’s energy needs,” Dr. Adeleke stated.

A video of his announcement shared on X (formerly Twitter) quickly gained traction, with many praising his business prowess and contributions to Nigeria’s development.

As CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited, Dr. Adeleke’s investments in the power sector are pivotal to Nigeria’s energy growth. His vision and leadership have made a significant impact, inspiring many.
