The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has revised its age eligibility criteria for the upcoming academic session.

Previously, candidates were required to be at least 16 years old by December 31, 2024. However, JAMB has now extended the age limit to August 31, 2025.

This adjustment aims to promote fairness for students whose admissions would extend beyond December 2024. Institutions can now consider candidates who meet standard admission requirements but were previously excluded due to age.

Key Highlights:

– Eligible candidates must turn 16 by August 31, 2025.

– Institutions must submit lists of eligible candidates to JAMB within one week.

– The revised policy respects institutional autonomy while promoting equity among applicants.

This change provides opportunities for more candidates to pursue higher education, ensuring a more inclusive and flexible admissions process.
