The Kano State Hisbah Board has issued a wanted declaration for Auwal Sankara, Jigawa’s Commissioner for Special Duties, over alleged adultery.

At a press briefing, Commander General Aminu Daurawa stated that Sankara was caught with a married woman, Tasleem Nabegu, in an uncompleted building.

This followed complaints from Nabegu’s husband, Nasiru Bulama, who accused Sankara of having an illicit affair with his wife, mother of their two children.

The Hisbah Board attempted an out-of-court settlement, but Sankara failed to appear and escaped after bail. The case is now in court.

Daurawa urged citizens to report illicit activities to Hisbah. Bulama appealed to the State Government and stakeholders for assistance in seeking justice, emphasizing that adultery is a crime for married individuals.
