The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting from October 24 to November 28, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi announced.

Mohammed, Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, disclosed this while reading a communique after the forum’s enlarged meeting in Abuja. The decision aims to ensure unity and strength ahead of the Ondo gubernatorial elections on November 16.

The meeting emphasized the importance of unity, urging members to avoid divisive remarks that could undermine the party’s efforts. The goal is to strengthen the PDP’s role as the main opposition party, paving the way for victory in the 2027 elections.

Representatives from various party organs attended the meeting, including the PDP Governors’ Forum, Board of Trustees, National Working Committee, National Assembly leadership of the PDP Caucus, and Forum of Former Governors.

This strategic move demonstrates the PDP’s commitment to consolidating its efforts and preparing for future electoral successes.
