Kano State Appoints Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa as Sports Ambassador

The Kano State Government has appointed Ahmed Musa, captain of the Nigerian national football team, as its Sports Ambassador, effective July 24, 2024.

Governor Abba K. Yusuf made the appointment, citing Musa’s exceptional professional competence, impressive performance record, and dedication to promoting sports and humanitarian services in the state.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, Musa’s new role aims to boost sporting activities, particularly for local clubs and players.

Musa, who recently rejoined Kano Pillars, has been impressive on the pitch, scoring three goals and providing two assists in just four appearances.

The appointment is expected to leverage Musa’s influence and expertise to develop sports in Kano State.
