Yvonne Jegede Goes Bald for New Movie Role

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has shaved her head for her upcoming film, “AJA,” produced by Titi Orire.

In an Instagram post, Jegede explained that she believes authentic storytelling requires risks and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. To fully embody her character, she underwent a physical transformation.

“I see myself as a tool to convey the message… If the script deserves it, I’ll do whatever needs to be done,” Jegede said.

Jegede is also learning Yoruba for the role, emphasizing her commitment to authenticity.

“Cutting my hair wasn’t just about changing my appearance; it was about shedding my comfort and embracing a new side for the story’s sake.”
