House of Representatives member Honorable Alex Mascot Ikwechegh has sparked significant outrage following a viral video showing him assaulting an Uber driver during a delivery at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.

The incident reportedly began when the driver requested that Ikwechegh, who represents the Aba North & South Federal Constituency, come outside to receive his delivery personally.

In the video, the visibly agitated lawmaker is seen verbally berating and cursing the driver, taking offense at being asked to step outside to collect his items.

As tensions escalated, the footage captured Hon. Ikwechegh slapping the driver multiple times, insisting that the request was disrespectful due to his social status. At one point, he allegedly threatened the driver, saying he could make him “disappear” without consequences.

A second clip now circulating online shows the driver sitting shirtless in his car, claiming that Ikwechegh tore his clothes.

The video has ignited widespread outrage on social media, with calls for accountability and justice for the Uber driver.
