Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández and his longtime partner, Valentina Cervantes, are reportedly separating as he navigates changes in his personal life.
According to the Daily Mail, Valentina announced their separation in a heartfelt social media post, acknowledging the challenges of this transition. The couple, who have two children, remain committed to an amicable split focused on their family’s well-being.
Valentina shared on Instagram, as reported by Goal, “Enzo and I have decided to take some distance from each other today. But we will always be family, and we will support each other in everything… Because there are two children involved who need a lot of love from us. I know the person Enzo is and what an excellent father he is, as well as the heart he has. That is enough for me. Please don’t try to create conflicts where there are none.”
In addition to these personal changes, Fernández recently faced a driving ban, which, along with other off-field challenges, may be affecting his performance. Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, has shown limited confidence in the midfielder, who has been benched for Chelsea’s last two Premier League games.
Determined to regain form, Fernández hopes to help Chelsea recover after their Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle on Wednesday. Chelsea faces Manchester United on Sunday, where a strong performance will be needed to challenge a reenergized Red Devils side under interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy.
