The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has shut down a warehouse in Wuse, Abuja, for allegedly housing expired food products. The facility, located in Wuse Zone 4, contained expired and unregistered items valued at ₦87.5 million.

NAFDAC reported that the warehouse operators were attempting to revalidate and resell these expired products. Additionally, some of the expired items were found at a supermarket in Wuse 2, where they were being sold to unsuspecting customers.

In a statement on its X account, NAFDAC said, “We uncovered a warehouse in Zone 4, Wuse, Abuja, filled with large quantities of expired and unregistered food products. The operation extended to a supermarket in Wuse 2, where revalidated items were allegedly sold.”

The agency confiscated various expired products, including Cornitos Crusties Nacho, Chaunky Mango, and Dal Tadka, among others. NAFDAC urged consumers to remain vigilant, especially during the festive season, and to report any suspicious food products to their nearest office for prompt action.
