Comedian and activist Mr. Macaroni has expressed his concerns about the deteriorating condition of Lagos roads in a recent post on his X account, directly addressing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In his message, he called on the governor to prioritize road safety and maintenance, highlighting the hazards posed by potholes and inadequate infrastructure.
Mr. Macaroni sarcastically remarked on the governor’s busy schedule, suggesting that rather than focusing on welcoming the President from international trips, Sanwo-Olu should take the time to inspect Lagos roads himself.
He wrote, “One of these days when you are not too busy with the very serious task of going to the Airport in Abuja to welcome Mr President from an International trip, kindly take a drive around Lagos roads and let us know why the government continues to risk the lives of Lagosians.”
Emphasizing the urgent need for government intervention, Mr. Macaroni pointed out that potholes are leading to accidents and endangering the safety of residents. His comments reflect a growing frustration among Lagosians about the state of public infrastructure, calling for immediate action to prevent potential harm to lives and property.
In conclusion, Mr. Macaroni urged the governor to “do better,” echoing the sentiments of many who believe the current administration should prioritize the well-being of citizens over ceremonial duties.
