The Labour Party (LP) candidate in the November 16 Ondo governorship election, Olusola Ebiseni, has declared that the contest is a two-party race between his party and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ebiseni made this statement on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, just two days before the state’s off-cycle election. He emphasized that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stands no chance in the election, pointing out that PDP candidate Agboola Ajayi had previously served as deputy governor of Ondo State.
“This election is between two political parties and their administrations. The PDP does not feature in this election. It is a race between the Labour Party and the APC. Agboola Ajayi was Governor Akeredolu’s first-term deputy governor, while Aiyedatiwa, the APC candidate, was his second-term deputy governor, and is now the incumbent governor,” he said.
Ebiseni also highlighted his own qualifications, noting that his experience as a former local government chairman and commissioner in the Mimiko administration has prepared him for the role of governor.
