The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Ondo governorship election, Agboola Ajayi, has cast his vote at Polling Unit 004, Apoi Ward 2, Kiribo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.

Ajayi criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), accusing it of bias and citing reports of delays in voting across parts of the state. He expressed frustration with the voting process, stating it took him nearly 10 minutes to cast his ballot due to issues with accreditation, which he described as a deliberate attempt to discourage voters.

Speaking after voting, Ajayi said, “The BVAS devices are not functioning properly. Although the election is relatively peaceful, I have serious concerns.

“Why are security personnel positioned so close to my polling unit? Their presence is intimidating voters. The proximity between voters and military officers is far too close.”

He further alleged that the election process was compromised due to the challenges with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), adding, “The system has been tampered with. It’s disappointing that INEC cannot effectively conduct an election in a single state.”
