Tobi Amusan Loses 100M Hurdles World Athletics Championship Crown in Budapest

Defending world champion and record holder Tobi Amusan has lost her world women’s 100 meters title crown to Jamaica’s Danielle Williams on Thursday.

Amusan who had won her heat and semi-final ran a time of 12.62 seconds to finish 6th, which by her standards was not a good outing.

Danielle Williams,  who previously won the title in Beijing in 2015, timed 12.43 seconds to edge out Olympic champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico who ran a time of 12.44 seconds, with Kendra Harrison of the United States taking bronze with a time of 12.46 seconds.

2019 champion Nia Ali finished last.
