FULL LIST: Femi Adebayo dominates 2024 BON Awards with Six Awards

The Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards held a star-studded ceremony at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday, with Nollywood filmmaker and actor Femi Adebayo emerging as the biggest winner of the night. Adebayo, known for the hit film Jagun Jagun, took home six awards out of the 24 categories, including Best Actor and Best Costume.

Other notable winners included the film Momiwa, which won Best Screenplay and Best Editing, while Unknown Soja triumphed in both the Best Actress and Best Child Actress categories.

Kanayo O. Kanayo was honored with a lifetime achievement award, presented by Kwara State Governor, His Excellency AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, and the Director-General of the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism, Aare Abisoye Fagade. The Governor also expressed Kwara State’s commitment to supporting the film industry, mentioning plans to host two epic films at the Sugar Factory Film Studios in the coming year.

Founded by Seun Oloketuyi, the BON Awards continues to celebrate Nigeria’s film practitioners and industry stakeholders through its traveling ceremony. Feranmi Olaoye, the Executive Director of the awards, emphasized that the winners were selected through a rigorous process conducted by an experienced jury.

The event, hosted by actress Toyin Abraham, was attended by several prominent figures, including Binta Ayo-Mogaji, Kazeem Adeoti, Mercy Aigbe-Adeoti, Femi Adebayo, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Biola Adebayo, and Foluke Daramola, among others.
