John Alfred Tinniswood, the world’s oldest living man, has passed away at the age of 112. His family confirmed that he died peacefully on Monday at the Southport care home where he resided.
A devoted Liverpool FC supporter, Mr. Tinniswood earned the title of the world’s oldest man earlier this year in April, following the death of Juan Vicente Pérez Mora at age 114.
His family shared that his final day was “filled with music and love.”
Born on August 26, 1912 — the same year the Titanic sank — Mr. Tinniswood became the UK’s oldest man in 2020. In April 2024, he was officially recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s oldest man.
