Wizkid’s Morayo album has broken multiple records following its release, including the largest debut for an African album on Spotify.

Within just six days of release, the album achieved 48 million streams, surpassing Tyla’s Tyla album, which recorded 46.4 million streams in a full week.

This milestone highlights Wizkid’s continuing dominance in global music, as the album has not only topped Spotify’s African charts but also set records for individual songs.

Additionally, Wizkid’s singles Kese (Dance) and Peace of My Heart saw record-breaking streams on their release days. Kese (Dance), for example, set the record for the highest opening-day streams on Spotify Nigeria. The album’s success demonstrates his enduring popularity and influence, with Morayo being particularly poignant as it serves as a tribute to his late mother.
