Arsenal Punish Manchester United with Set-Piece Brilliance to Secure 2-0 Victory

Manchester United suffered a setback under Ruben Amorim as Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory, exploiting set-piece opportunities to hand the Portuguese manager his first Premier League defeat. Second-half goals from defenders Jurrien Timber and William Saliba sealed the win for Mikel Arteta’s side at the Emirates Stadium, narrowing the gap on league leaders Liverpool to seven points.

Despite missing Gabriel through injury, Arsenal displayed their set-piece prowess, with Timber’s glancing header opening the scoring. William Saliba doubled the lead after Thomas Partey’s deflected effort, leaving United with no response.

Amorim’s heavily rotated side struggled offensively, appearing content to settle for a draw from the outset. The defeat leaves Manchester United languishing in 11th place, while Arsenal remains third with a fourth consecutive league victory.
