Makinde Vows PDP Will Defeat APC in 2026 Osun and 2027 Oyo Elections

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will deliver a decisive political lesson to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2026 Osun State election and the 2027 Oyo State election.

Makinde dismissed claims that the APC could seize control of the two states, labeling the ambition of APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, as unrealistic.

Speaking in Osogbo on Wednesday during the inauguration of the dual carriageway connecting the Stadium Roundabout, Oke Baale Roundabout, and Ilesa Garage Roundabout, Makinde remarked that Ganduje must have been distracted when he suggested the APC would capture Osun and Oyo states.
