RCCG Spends N73m on Free Bus Initiative, Saves Nigerians N2.24bn in 7 Weeks — Leke Adeboye

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has revealed that its free bus initiative, which provided transportation between Lagos and Ogun States, saved Nigerians an estimated N2.24 billion in just seven weeks.

According to Leke Adeboye, Pastor-in-Charge of Youth Province One, RCCG, the initiative, which involved 10 buses, transported over 56,000 people, with each passenger saving an average of N40,000 weekly.

Adeboye disclosed that the church spent over N63 million on fuel alone and an additional N10 million on the welfare of drivers and volunteers. He emphasized that the initiative was open to all Nigerians, regardless of their faith or social status.

The free bus initiative, which ran for seven weeks, provided transportation to students, military personnel, law enforcement officers, and less privileged groups, among others. Adeboye stated that the initiative was a testament to the church’s commitment to serving humanity without discrimination.
