Mo Abudu Named Among Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World for 2024

Media mogul Mo Abudu has celebrated her recognition as one of Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World. Forbes, the renowned U.S. business magazine, is known for its influential lists spotlighting leading figures in various fields.

Taking to Instagram, the EbonyLife CEO and movie producer shared a screenshot of her name on the list, ranking as the 97th most powerful woman globally. This marks the third consecutive year Mo Abudu has made the prestigious list.

Expressing her gratitude, Mo Abudu said she was humbled to be recognized among top women, including fellow Nigerian Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. She highlighted her pride as a Black woman representing Nigeria and Africa’s media and entertainment industry on the global stage.

In her post, she congratulated other honorees and thanked Forbes for celebrating women worldwide, writing:

“It is an incredible honor to represent the media and entertainment sector, to stand as a proud Black woman, and to fly the flag for Nigeria and Africa on this prestigious global platform.”

She also emphasized the importance of representation, noting that recognizing women from diverse backgrounds inspires others to break barriers and lift others along the way. Mo Abudu’s acknowledgment underscores her dedication to championing African excellence and driving the global narrative of women’s empowerment.
