Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from boxing, just weeks after his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

In a short video shared on his Instagram, Fury, 36, expressed gratitude to his supporters: “Thanks to everyone who helped out along the way! Happy new year. Jesus is king now and forever.” He added, “Thanks; it’s been a blast, I enjoyed every minute of it.”

Fury had previously announced his retirement multiple times, and this decision comes after his loss to Usyk by unanimous decision in December. As a result, the anticipated fight with Anthony Joshua will no longer take place.
