Abosede, the grieving mother of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and Nollywood filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi were involved in a heated confrontation during a press conference that escalated into a storm of emotions and accusations.

The event, intended to address lingering controversies surrounding Mohbad’s tragic death in September 2023, quickly devolved into a dramatic clash. Yomi Fabiyi, who has positioned himself as an advocate for justice for the late artist, invited Abosede and her son, Adura, to share their perspective and clarify certain allegations.

Tensions flared when Fabiyi presented a video he claimed was critical to the investigation, suggesting the family might be withholding vital information. The insinuation infuriated Abosede, who broke down in an emotional outburst, accusing Fabiyi of exploiting her son’s death for personal gain and public attention.

Supporters of Abosede sided with her, accusing the actor of insensitivity and disrespect for airing sensitive matters in public. The situation reached its peak when Abosede and Adura abruptly stormed out of the conference, expressing their frustration through cries and harsh words.

As she departed, Abosede, overwhelmed by grief, declared that if she or her family had ever shielded those responsible for Mohbad’s death, she would willingly accept the harshest curse upon herself.
