Southport Attacker Axel Rudakubana Pleads Guilty to Murdering Three Girls at Dance Class

Axel Rudakubana, 18, has pleaded guilty to the murder of three young girls in a knife attack during a dance class in Southport, which occurred in July last year.

Appearing at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, the teenager from Lancashire initially refused to stand or confirm his name but later admitted to the murders of Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.

In addition to the murder charges, Rudakubana pleaded guilty to 10 counts of attempted murder and possession of a kitchen knife in connection to the July 29 attack. Further charges included producing the deadly toxin ricin and possessing an al Qaeda training manual, discovered during searches of his home in Banks, Lancashire, following the incident.

The presiding judge, Mr. Justice Goose, has scheduled sentencing for Thursday.

During the hearing, Rudakubana remained seated in the dock while entering his pleas. None of the victims’ family members were present, as the trial was initially expected to commence on Tuesday.
