Bloody Civilian has publicly come out as a lesbian in a recent post on her verified account on X, formerly known as Twitter. The announcement was made today, January 25, 2025.

In her post, Bloody Civilian stated that she identifies as neither male nor female and expressed exhaustion from hiding her sexuality, confirming that she is a lesbian.

Signed to 0207 Def Jam, the UK branch of Def Jam Recordings, alongside rapper Odumodublvck, Bloody Civilian, born Emoseh, hails from Taraba State. She grew up in Northern Nigeria, moving between Kaduna, Jos, and Abuja. Her conservative upbringing, marked by restrictions on her movement, heavily influenced her artistry.

In 2024, Bloody Civilian collaborated with Wizkid on Bob Marley’s One Love album, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. The project also secured individual nominations for both artists.

Bloody Civilian previously expressed gratitude to Wizkid, stating that his support, including a shoutout on Instagram, significantly impacted her career.
