The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has postponed the commencement of 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration from January 31 to February 3, 2025.

In a statement signed on Friday by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB cited the need to update its registration templates as the reason for the shift. The adjustments follow the recent suspension of certain law programmes by the Council for Legal Education.

The Board also issued a warning to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres that used fraudulent tactics to gain approval, stating that such centres would face sanctions after further scrutiny.

JAMB apologized for any inconvenience the delay may cause but emphasized that the additional time would help ensure a smooth and transparent registration process.
