Marseille Inducts Taye Taiwo Into Club’s Hall of Fame

Former Super Eagles left-back Taye Taiwo has been honored by French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille following his induction into the club’s Hall of Fame.

Taiwo, who played for Marseille from 2005 to 2011, was instrumental in the club’s success, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 271 appearances.

Regarded as one of Nigeria’s finest left-backs, he earned 54 international caps between 2004 and 2011, scoring five goals.

At club level, he enjoyed an illustrious career with top European sides, including AC Milan and Queens Park Rangers, before retiring in 2019.

Now 39 and settled in France, Taiwo’s Hall of Fame induction cements his legacy as one of Marseille’s greatest players.
