Portable Cries Out as Ogun State Government Moves to Seal His Bar

Nigerian musician Portable has taken to social media to express his frustration and disappointment over the Ogun State Government’s decision to seal his bar, ODOWGU.

Portable shared a letter and photos of his bar on Instagram, revealing that the government cited two reasons for the sealing: inadequate development of the bar without government approval and inadequate airspace.

In the caption, Portable detailed the ordeal, stating that over 20 people, including artists and customers, were arrested, and their cars, bikes, and phones were confiscated. He also claimed that the government sealed his new, uncompleted building and hotel.

Portable pleaded with the government to reconsider their decision, explaining that he uses the bar to host events and shows, promote local talent, and provide for his family. He also highlighted his contributions to the community, including installing streetlights and facilitating road repairs.

Portable’s emotional appeal has sparked concern among his fans and followers, who are calling on the Ogun State Government to review the situation and find a resolution that supports local businesses and communities.
