Kanye West, the globally renowned and highly controversial American rapper, has called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to pardon jailed music mogul Sean Combs, popularly known as Puff Diddy or Diddy.

Diddy is currently facing over 30 civil lawsuits related to allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. He remains in a New York jail, awaiting a federal criminal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Taking to his X page on Thursday, Ye pleaded with Trump to intervene, writing, “@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff.”

Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security in September last year on suspicion of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. He has denied all charges, entering a not-guilty plea on Tuesday, September 17. However, his bail request has been denied twice.

Recently, reports emerged that Diddy was rushed to a hospital in Brooklyn for a knee injury before being returned to his cell after treatment.

His trial is set to begin later this year.
