FG Secures Support Facility for Nigerians Affected by Trump’s Deportation Order

The Federal Government has secured a facility to provide support for Nigerians experiencing mental distress due to the deportation order issued by United States President Donald Trump.

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced this while reaffirming the government’s readiness to receive deportees from the US and help reintegrate them into society.

Reports indicate that at least 3,690 Nigerians in the US face deportation as Trump enforces his crackdown on illegal immigrants in the country.

After returning to the Oval Office on January 20, 2025, Trump signed a series of executive orders reversing many of his predecessor’s policies, particularly on immigration and foreign aid.
