Following Rose Idibia’s public plea for Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to leave her son, the Idibia family has formally petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) to intervene in the mysterious disappearance of music icon Innocent “2face” Idibia.

In a letter titled “Petition for the Intervention of the Department of State Services Regarding the Disappearance of Mr. Innocent Idibia,” the family’s legal representatives, Anuge, Anuge & Co, detailed their concerns over the singer’s whereabouts.

According to the petition, 2face was last seen on the morning of Monday, February 10, 2025, when he left his residence in loungewear for his usual walk but never returned. The family, his staff, and his record label management have made extensive efforts to locate him, but all attempts to contact him have failed.

The letter highlights that 2face, a globally recognized artist, typically moves with security personnel. However, on the day of his disappearance, he was unaccompanied, raising further alarm. Adding to their distress, some of his close associates have reportedly received suspicious messages from his social media accounts soliciting financial assistance—something the financially independent artist has never done.

The Idibia family fears that 2face may have been abducted and is being manipulated, with his identity possibly compromised for fraudulent activities. The petition also suggests the possibility of foul play and coercion, urging the DSS to investigate and locate him urgently.

The situation has drawn significant concern, not just from his family but also from his fans and the Nigerian music industry, as his prolonged absence has left his career and business operations in limbo.

The petition concludes with a desperate appeal for the DSS to intervene and ensure 2face’s safe return, emphasizing the severe emotional and professional toll his disappearance has taken on his loved ones.
