Osimhen, Messi, Haaland, others nominated for FIFA Best Men’s Player Award

Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has bagged a nomination for another top award, this time, the 2023 FIFA Best Men’s Player award.

The nomination comes a few weeks after he was shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or (arguably football’s biggest prize). Also on the FIFA best shortlist is football superstar Lionel Messi, UEFA Best Player Erling Haaland, French star Kylian Mbappe, among others.

FIFA also unveiled nominees in other categories including Best Women’s Player, Best Men’s Goalkeeper, Best Women’s Goalkeeper, Best Men’s Coach and Best Women’s Coach.
