Rapper A$AP Rocky has been acquitted of all charges in his Los Angeles felony assault trial. A jury found him not guilty of two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm related to a 2021 altercation with his former friend Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was accused of firing a gun at Ephron during a dispute in Hollywood. However, his defense team argued that the firearm in question was a prop for a music video and that Ephron was the aggressor in the situation.

After approximately three hours of deliberation, the jury delivered a not guilty verdict. Rocky expressed his gratitude, saying:

“Thank y’all for saving my life.”

His partner, Rihanna, was present in court throughout the trial and later shared her relief on social media, attributing the favorable outcome to divine intervention.

If convicted, Rocky faced up to 24 years in prison. Despite his acquittal, Ephron has also filed a civil lawsuit against him.

The verdict brings an end to a high-profile legal battle that has drawn significant public and media attention.
