Afenifere Youth Leader Ojajuni Begs Nigerians to Raise N100M Ransom as Kidnappers Issue Deadline

The National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, has pleaded with Nigerians to help raise the N100 million ransom demanded by his kidnappers, who have threatened to kill him by 3 p.m. on Monday.

In a viral video on Monday, Ojajuni, visibly distressed, was seen with a kidnapper pointing an AK-47 at his chest as he begged for financial assistance.

“Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life,” he said. “My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video.”

Confirming the abduction, the National Secretary of the council, Abiodun Aderohunmu, said the kidnappers had issued a N100 million ransom demand and already shot Ojajuni during the attack.

“The Afenifere National Youths Council is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja. During the attack, he sustained a gunshot wound, and we are extremely concerned about his safety,” Aderohunmu stated.

He called on the Federal Government and security agencies to intervene urgently.

A voice recording of negotiations between the kidnappers and Ojajuni’s family has also surfaced, further highlighting the tense situation.
