Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat, the Thai couple who set the Guinness World Record for the longest kiss in 2013, have sadly revealed that they are no longer together.

The pair made history by locking lips for an astonishing 58 hours and 35 minutes, surpassing their previous record of 46 hours and 24 minutes in 2011. However, in a recent interview on the BBC Sounds podcast, Witness History, Ekkachai confirmed that their relationship has ended.

Despite the breakup, he expressed pride in their shared achievement, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He also reflected on their time together, choosing to focus on the good memories rather than the challenges of the record-breaking feat.

Ekkachai revealed that the competition’s strict rules made the experience far from romantic. Contestants had to remain locked in a kiss even during toilet breaks and were required to pass water between their mouths, adding to the intense difficulty.

Although their relationship has come to an end, their remarkable record remains unbroken, standing as a testament to their endurance and shared history.
