As of February 27, 2025, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N890 to N825 per litre. This N65 per litre decrease is effective immediately and aims to provide financial relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season.

With this adjustment, consumers can expect the following pump prices at partner retail outlets:

  • MRS Holdings stations:
    • Lagos: N860 per litre
    • South-West: N870 per litre
    • North: N880 per litre
    • South-South and South-East: N890 per litre
  • AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations:
    • Lagos: N865 per litre
    • South-West: N875 per litre
    • North: N885 per litre
    • South-South and South-East: N895 per litre

This is the second price reduction by Dangote Refinery in February 2025, following a previous decrease of N60 per litre earlier in the month. In total, the ex-depot price has been reduced by N125 per litre since January 2025.

The refinery’s management stated that this strategic price adjustment is intended to ease the financial burden on Nigerians and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery initiatives.
